    Ferrosilicon (FeSi) is composed of iron alloy of iron and silicon. Due to silicon and oxygen is easy synthesis silica ferrosilicon with commonly used in steelmaking as a deoxidizer, and the same time as a lot of heat generation of SiO2, while deoxygenated, is also advantageous to improve the temperature of molten steel.

    Ferrosilicon can also be used as alloy elements join agent widely used in low-alloy structural steel, spring steel, bearing steel, heat resistant steel and electrical silicon steel, ferrosilicon, ferroalloy production and chemical industry, used as a reducing agent.
